How Can We Improve Any.Do for personal users?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. Calendar: Allow scrolling through calendar view (desktop)

    When distributing tasks into calendar, I would like to just quickly move to next week/month by gesture. Now you have to always move cursor almost through the whole screen to push small button to go to next or previous and then back to tasks shown in the list on the right.

  2. Time Clash between tasks solution

    Tell the user of adding a task at a particular time when at the same time there's another task to be completed. just like calling two persons at the same time isn't feasible or giving two exams at the same time etc

  3. Calendar: Suggest all tasks (not just unscheduled)

    In calendar view, only unscheduled tasks are shown. We need the ability to see all tasks with filters as in My Day view. Calendar View is powerful and I tend to find it far more useful than my day view

  4. Let users set what time day starts in calendar

    Not all of us start our day at midnight. It would ne nice to have the day atart at a time of user choosing so we cont have to scroll past midnight to get to the start of the day. It can cause confusion sometimes. Plus many of us consider 2am to he part of the previous day

  5. filter by multiple tags with an AND rule

    Currently you cannot filter by multiple tags. The current filtering does an OR filtering, ie, if task has tag A OR tag B, show it. this only works on the mobile app and not on the desktop.

    Most users would want an AND filter, ergo: show me tasks that are both tag A AND tag B etc. this is currently not possible on either mobile or desktop.

  6. Make tasks dependent on eachother.

    It would be nice, if there would be tasks, that could be checked completed only if a previous task was completed.

  7. There needs to be an option to TURN OFF time detection just like Andriod users can do the same

    It makes no sense to have tasks automatically move when I write something like: “email John about meeting next Wednesday” and then it sets the task date as next Wednesday and I miss doing it.

    It would be extremely helpful to be able to add notes to individual subtasks.

  9. Create Task / Subtask templates

    In my personal life I have quite a few tasks that contain multiple subtasks. Being able to create a template that I can easily slot in on a day to complete this task would make it easier than having to re-write the 12+ subtasks for the multiple tasks I have going on.

  10. Font size adjustment on Android

    1. The font size for tasks is small and not bold enough and tag color bar is too small to see easily.
    2. The gray font (light mode) is much too light.
    3. The gray font (dark mode) is much too dark.
    4. Almost all fonts on task details are too small and grays are either too light (light mode) or too dark (dark mode). I really appreciate Any.do and really want to use it. I've subscribed multiple times, but always end up canceling due to my issues with the fonts.

  13. Any.do AI: Learns from previous entries to give more accurate suggestions

    Algorithm that learns from previous subtasks and tasks to give more accurate and user relevant subtask suggestions

    Also the option to enable the main search to also include archived tasks

  18. Widgets: Android calendar widget enhancements

    Can we have calendar+task in one nice widget in one single list.I dont want to click tab in current widget.Right now widget is too thick and space waste.
    I want clean minimal widget without any header or button.

    • Just one nice list of any.do task + calendar event
    • option for full transparency rather than 80%
    • option for font-shadow to increase readability
    • no header footer space waste
    • option to make is compact, cozy, comfortable like google nature. Reduce space between item and font size.

  19. Adding a new task only with voice command

    Microsoft To-Do has an option in the app "shortcuts" where you can say "hey siri, add a task" and siri asks you what the title of the task should be. Then the new task with the specific titel which you spoke out is added to you default list only using the voice command. Any.Do just opens the app where you can type in the specific titel.

    I do not think that the implementation would be that hard and this would be a huge improvement!

  20. Conduct search which does not show completed items (filter completed/active items)

    Conduct search which does not show completed items (filter completed/active items) Right now, when doing a search it is pulling entries for all items completed or not. Cannot identify completed to see what is active. It would be better to be able to filter completed items. For example, Search: is:completed <search_term> OR is:-completed <search term>
