How Can We Improve Any.Do for personal users?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.

  1. Tasks: Sound of tasks and notifications

    Can have custom notification sound that overrides other apps, which doesn't depend on the device's own notifications, the device muted or not, the task notification rings, as an alarm or a custom notification.

  3. Views: Custom default screen

    So, currently you can choose your default list. This displays your chosen list at opening the app. I would like the ability to choose the 'lists' page as my opening default. Or, even better, if I get my wish to see a projects hierarchy above lists, I'd love to be able to have that as my opener. Basically, the ability to choose any categorical space within the app as my default. So, I could have the ap open to a specific task, list, project or the (currently only wished for) project screen itself.

  4. Ability to Turn Off Smart Type in Windows App

    Add the setting to Turn Off Smart Type in the Windows App as can be done in the Android App. Some of us never use it and it just makes it more difficult to add a task since you have to undo the smart typing it does. Thank you

  5. Widget: My Day

    I really like the My Day function, unfortunately there is no corresponding widget to it. It's more convenient and focused than the classic task view. Could you make a widget for My Day? It would be awesome.

  7. customizable view

    Firstly, I'd like to express my gratitude for creating such a user-friendly and efficient tool. Many of us, including myself and a circle of acquaintances, have seamlessly integrated your application into our daily routines.

    However, there's a small tweak that could significantly enhance our planning experience. A majority of us set aside Sundays to map out our week ahead. But with the current "last 7 days" view, we find ourselves unable to see and plan for the Sunday of the following week. This minor limitation hinders our ability to fully optimize our schedules.

  8. Expand natural language options

    Please expand the natural language ideas. I appreciate that there are a few things that can be done, however there is so much value in natural language input.

    Using a prompt like:
    Call John tomorrow at 9:15 /work #calls

    Is great for setting a reminder, assigning to a list and a tag. Thank you, it's helpful.

    Please consider adding more options to give options for recurring tasks for example:

    Call John every tuesday at 10:30am
    Call John on the 2nd tuesday of the month
    Send John a birthday card on march 2nd each year
    Water neighbors yard every morning at…

  9. Please bring old desktop UI back

    I thought I finally found a perfect, simple task list. High density of information on the desktop screen was essential, together with great mobile interface.

    Now new 'tiles' design completely changed this, made my simple todo list unusable. I can fit 8 cards on my screen. Additional information on card is useless to me.

    At least give us an option to use the old condensed list format please !

  10. Print list tekst "Create by any.do"

    When I print a list, just under the list it prints "Created by Any.do" Is it possible to print it at the bottom of the page? Than i have extra space to write done new tasks with pen.

  11. sub tasks

    Add due dates to sub tasks.
    I have similar master tasks with sub tasks that can run over a week and I like to batch the similar sub tasks. I would like the ability to set due dates for each sub tasks so Ican work effectively.

  12. Linked Tasks

    Since you do not support nesting tasks, if we could link tasks, that would be almost as good or maybe better. This way, two or more different tasks could be linked much like using joins for connecting different database tables.

  13. Option to hide MyDay random messages on top of the page

    HI, I love Anydo.
    I'd like an option to hide the messages on top of myDay, they are kind of distracting and annoying. And sometimes irrelevant, I might have 'buying eggs' and 'watching a movie' left for the day and it has nothing to do with making great accomplishments.

  15. Keep manual sort order

    I have long lists that are manually sorted. Sometimes, when i do something like change the reminder to the next day, the tasks goes to either the top or bottom of the list. Please keep the tasks in the order in which i set them.

  16. Tasks with reoccuring time gets assigned to Today

    A task that reoccurs every Sunday should not default to "Today" in the Next 7 Days View but rather should show every Sunday

  18. My Day: Sorting

    Add a sorting option in My Day, so that when you add your tasks for the day, you can choose to rearrange them by either "time" or "list" (just like regular task lists).

    Or, you can make it so that when you add your tasks, they are already sorted by time if the task has a reminder set.

    Pretty basic but I think this would 2x efficiency and make it easier to know what to do next, especially if you have a lot of tasks like me, and it ends up taking some time to either sort them manually or…

  19. My Day Page Reformed Layout

    I would like to request the following features for the My Day View.

    1) That there should be a schedule Timeline Mixed Tasks and Events.
    2) Option to sort and filter by Category/Importance Level.
    3) The Tasks should show in detail the time of the task.
    Just to get the understanding of what I'm looking for please check out the Schedule View on Google Calendar along with Tasks in between events.

    Looking forward for the Best App Out There to Get Even Better!!!

  20. Add and end date for tasks and keep reminders separately

    For most of my projects, I have a bunch of things I have to do before the whole thing is due.

    Alternatively, you should be able to assign reminders to subtasks.
