How Can We Improve Any.Do for personal users?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.

  1. Lists: Allow changing lists colors

    It feels redundant to need to use the tags to color code a list, and I don't always remember to add a tag when going quickly.
    It would be simpler to choose a text color for a list to see the different list's tasks.

    If they had colored text I also wouldn't need to filter out lists I'm seeing in the 7 day view as it would already be obvious which list the task is from.

  2. Personal Tasks: Progress Bar for Tasks with Subtasks

    I think a great feature would be to have a progress bar next to tasks that have subtasks (either by percentage or number of subtasks completed, e.g. 3/5 completed).

  4. Tasks: Sound of tasks and notifications

    Can have custom notification sound that overrides other apps, which doesn't depend on the device's own notifications, the device muted or not, the task notification rings, as an alarm or a custom notification.

  5. Product: Implement MFA

    Hi, since the comment section from my original post is closed I submit a new topic.

    I asked for MFA implementation with TOTP, mail and Webauthn to fit actual security standard and let the opportunity to users to increase the security of their data.

    What you did is implementing 2FA: second factor authentication since you only support one type of second factor.
    MFA stand for multiple factor authentication, meaning we should be able to choose multiple methods.

    Your implementation was fast and messy, you enabled mail factor for all your users without warning them first and you don't provide any…

  6. Integrations: Add tasks with tags and to specific lists via WhatsApp

    Relevant for the whatsapp bot:
    I use it often and it adds tasks correctly with a time to remind but it doesn't have the option to label the tasks and put in the correct list. I think it would help if I could add labels and also where to put it (even as default to the inbox list)

  7. Views: Indicate the number of tasks in each column

    I think that saying the number of tasks in each column for example in the "next 7 days", for each day - would make it easier to understand how busy our days are in the week and plan accordingly.
    I see myself counting each and every column manualy too many times.

  8. Product: Desktop view for IPAD

    Hello,
    I love the Desktop view and I think it would be critical if we could have it in the IPAD version as well, mainly for two features:
    1. The "kanban" look of the "next 7 days" and the "all tasks" which helps see all tasks clearer
    2. The option to add labels to multiple tasks at once

    This could help make practice of more methods of GTD from more portable surfaces. Even if the view will not be perfect it would still be amazing

  10. Product: Show Mac Os "Services" in Mac Os menu

    What: the menu bar should contain the menu item "Services", with a list of relevant Mac Os X services
    Why: those services are used in local workflows. Example:
    - select some text in the app, the services that are related to text are now available, so i can send that text to a different app (eg a scratchpad, or send that to a terminal)

  11. Add widgets features for Windows and MacOS

    Please add Any.do app to Microsoft Store. And add widgets feature to Windows and MacOS widget. I want to see these reminders which have no deadline and upcoming calendar events from my desktop (via Windows/MacOS Widget)

  12. Product: Support Dutch on web/desktop

    I can use Any.do in the dutch language on my smartphone as well. But in the web there is no dutch language to choose. Please can you add dutch in the web version?

  15. My Day: Allow filtering of lists based on day of week

    Some lists are only applicable on certain days. For example, I have a work list I use for all my tasks at work.

    It would be nice if these lists can be filtered out from the My Day view and suggestions on days where they are not applicable, such as the weekend in the example of a work list.

    My day overview can get cluttered with work-related tasks that are past due or coming up, while I know I will not be working on them during the weekend.

  19. My Days: Sync tasks to calendar

    If I add something to My Day, I want it to show up in the calendar view. I like to add everything to my day, then go to the calendar view to drag them to the time I want to work on them. But I currently have to make them due that day in order for them to appear on the calendar.

  20. Reminders: Override silent mode

    This app is useless to me if notification sounds do not override a silenced system. I need to turn my ringer and other app notifications off during the workday, but certainly still need this app to make a notification sound to grab my attention to the reminder I set.

    It's unfathomable that this app doesn't do this by default---I'm ready to cancel my premium subscription over such a gross oversight.
