How Can We Improve Any.Do for personal users?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.

    It would be perfect if like in Todoist it was Complication on the Apple Watch the icon of Any.do with round progress bar of completed today’s tasks. It would be more comfortable

  2. List selection Improvement

    when i press create a task button , it pop out a window where all fields have to be filled and List of List are on the default one .

    i suggest to put the default list to be automatically changed to the one which you are opening at the current moment ( not the one set in the default settings )

  4. PLEASE let me turn off keyboard shortcuts.

    99% of the time they add no value or time savings to my daily interaction with my task list, yet I'm constantly fighting them if I start to type and haven't placed my mouse directly into a text field—sometimes with destructive, non-undoable results.

    Having the option to turn them off and revert to standard desktop OS keyboard shortcuts should be an option in the preferences.

  5. Next 7 days

    Sometime last year, I mentioned that it would be an A+ if there was an option in settings to have the "Next 7 days" on when opening the app.

  7. Weekly/monthly setup optimization

    There needs to be more frame work built around a weekly and monthly bases in the main screen si when you open it, the tasks you add to the weekly are there instead of just daily so that away yoy can have a proper list of tasks on the opening screen and widget with your weekly tasks. Or let us edit the names of upcoming, today, someday, etc... CEO work is always done weekly for me atleast for me. It would be extremly useful and easier to navigate on the user side to be able to quickly add a weekly…

  8. Display each individual task's list (Personal, Work etc) below or beside it in the All Tasks page

    In the All Tasks page the only option to see the lists is to individually click on each task or sort by list. However when sorting by list it is difficult to sort out according to the time and date the Tasks have been scheduled. Keeping the list name beside the task makes it easy to sort out according to both time and list. This is a feature which is present in pretty much all the free to do apps out there, it's weird it's not here already.

  10. Provide more sorting functionality (Ie. on Creation Date, Modification Date, Task Description)

    I'd like to see more sorting functionality, please. Ie. on Creation Date/Time, Modification Date/Time, Task Description, and within the timelines (today, tomorrow, upcoming, someday, or undated) that are reflected in various views.

  11. Customize AnyDo Startup View

    I'd like to see a function that would allow me to create (customize) and save a start-up view of AnyDo when I open the app.
    Currently (on the web version), I start AnyDo and have to navigate through several options (selecting time frames, lists, tags, etc.) before I can actually plan and work on specific tasks. As soon as I login to AnyDo later, I have to go through these steps again.

    1.Task page to have time lines visible . we shall be able to place tasks between time slots like between 10 am 11.am.12.am like that and these time slots should be visible as horizontal lines.

    2.Provision to Migrate from task page of each day to next or previous through arrow buttons on either side of today with date

  13. Basic plan

    Offer a basic plan at a cheaper rate. Honestly I just want to color code things but the premium plan is expensive. I personally don’t need all the premium features so paying $60 a year just isn’t something I will do. Basic plan could have just a few extra features and make it affordable for everyone who doesnt need the full blown premium plan.

  14. Reminders

    I like to be able to set a Recurrent Reminder for a Task or Event for specific days of the week, For example, for the days that I am at work.

    It would look something like this:

    Recurrence:

    Weekly: Tu, Wed, Thu, Fri

    It is very tedious to have to create the same Task/Event for every single day of the week I would like to set the reminder for, in order to be able to make it a recurrent one.

  15. White dots underneath dates showing days that have tasks in calandar widget

    Could you put an indicator on the calendar widget that signifies days that have tasks?

    Without having any indicator, I have to click through each day individually to check if I have any tasks that day.

    With a little white dot below the date, I would be able to see upcoming tasks at a glance.

    I would really appreciate this a lot, this would help out a lot when I am planning/scheduling and looking ahead.

  16. Why can't I drag and drop my uncompleted tasks onto a day of my callendar?

    Hello, please see image.

    I just tried to drag one of my uncompleted tasks onto my calendar on the web app and it appears this is not a feature. Could you make it easier for me to plan ahead using the app by making this possible?

    I predominantly use Any.Do to plan out multiple weeks or months ahead, and I find difficulty planning/rearranging tasks for the year.

  18. Provide option to only show badges for tasks assigned to you

    Any.do's badge system worked well for me when I was the only person on a list. However, now I have a shared list with a coworker, and I see badges for tasks I am not responsible for. This breaks the app for me.

    Please provide an option to only see badges for tasks that are assigned to you.

  19. Subtask Makeover

    Make subtasks more obvious. I want to be able to create each subtask, put them under the overarching/main task, drag them so they're in the correct order, and be able to see the subtasks right underneath the main task, instead of just that line with the number at the end of it.

    Also more text space to type in the subtask. Cuts off really early, at least on desktop.
