How Can We Improve Any.Do for personal users?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.

  1. Allow for more frequent reminders for recurring tasks, with more customization.

    I have to check specific things multiple times every hour. I'd like to be able to make recurring tasks have reminders every 15-30 minutes, every hour, two hours, twice or thrice a day, etc...
    As it stands I can only set recurring tasks to 'daily' reminder. So I guess I have to create many daily recurring tasks set for different times of day with a daily recurrence?

  4. Automatically sort completed tasks to the bottom of My Day list

    When working in the My Day view and marking a task as done, having the option to automatically move tasks marked as "done" to the bottom of the list, so you can easily view all remaining tasks that need to be completed for the day, while also being able to view items have been accomplished (visual motivation on what you have gotten done for the day).

  5. Tasks: Conditional chained tasks

    Conditional chained tasks:

    I am going to suggest something that I imagine is easy to implement and at least it would solve some discomfort for me.

    What do I mean by the title?
    What I propose is to have the option of enabling tasks of conditional completion (especially in the 7-day list), that is:

    Print spreadsheets. (Task 1)

    Take spreadsheets (Task 2)

    Contract Streaming subscription (Task 3)

    Where "Task 2" is subject to one more day than "Task 1", and "Task 3" to two more days than "Task 1"

    The ability to view an attached image or document as a preview without opening the card is soooo helpful - I'm actually amazed this feature has been passed on before!

  7. Subtask Copy and Paste

    I want to use the same subtask list for multiple tasks but it is not possible to copy and paste them all. I have to log in again each time. Is there a way to do this? Or can you add this to the program?

  8. I want to use the same subtask list for multiple tasks

    I am a lawyer and mediator, I use your program with pleasure. I also use the same sub-task list for my tasks, but it is not possible to copy the same sub-task list to another task in the program. I have to re-enter it every time. It wastes a lot of time. Is there a way to do this? Or can you add this to the program?

  9. Add 3 levels of task IMPORTANCE, easily visible by brightness/shade of the task tile background

    In addition to tags (which are most useful to assign categories to tasks, i.e. #HOME, #HOBBY etc.), please give the users an ability to mark the IMPORTANCE of tasks. For the sake of not overcomplicating this, it will be enough if you enable the user to pick one of the three IMPORTANCE categories: HIGH or MEDIUM or NORMAL (normal being default). In the dark theme, the HIGH importance tasks would have the brightest background, the MEDIUM ones - a somewhat darker one. In the light theme, you could use a theme-dependent leading colour in 2 hues or give important tasks…

  10. Add and end date for tasks and keep reminders separately

    For most of my projects, I have a bunch of things I have to do before the whole thing is due.

    Alternatively, you should be able to assign reminders to subtasks.

  11. My Day Page Reformed Layout

    I would like to request the following features for the My Day View.

    1) That there should be a schedule Timeline Mixed Tasks and Events.
    2) Option to sort and filter by Category/Importance Level.
    3) The Tasks should show in detail the time of the task.
    Just to get the understanding of what I'm looking for please check out the Schedule View on Google Calendar along with Tasks in between events.

  14. Search for tasks... Allow access to more than 7 tasks found with indication there are more

    When searching for tasks, etc, it shows a maximum of 7 tasks with no indication that there are more, and no way to find more.

    Please increase this limit and allow access to all search results, maybe via pagination, etc.

    Please also add an indicator that there are more than the limited number of results.

  17. My Day: Add option to disable this feature

    'My Day' in its current form is a little confusing and personally I find it completely redundant. Having two lists of tasks for the day is strange UX and I don't see why we need an additional one that needs manually populating.

    Of course some people probably use it it, so I think it could be worth having an option to disable it. This would hide it from the app and reduce a lot of clutter.

  20. Create a new list from a task within an already existing list.

    I would like an option, within an existing list, to allow for a task to become a new list on its own. Sometimes a small task grows to become bigger than initially anticipated and then moving the task to a new list with all its sub-tasks, notes and attachments becomes very manual and painstaking. This new option will move this task instantaneously to a list.
