How Can We Improve Any.Do for personal users?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. Grocery List: Clear search field when clicking suggestion

    Everytime I want to add a grocery list item, when I start typing in an item and a suggestion pops up, i will click to add the suggestion but the text is still there. I have to manually backspace every single time I want to add an item to the list using suggestions.

    It should auto clear the text field on the click of the suggestion pill/tag.

  2. Calendar: Hide tasks on mobile (like on Web)

    Love having my calendar and task list all in one. But on my Mac app I can remove my tasks from my calendar agenda view but I can’t do this on my iPhone or iPad. I want the ability to hide the tasks on the agenda view.

  3. Product: Improve Keyboard Shortcuts

    Need to improve keyboard shortcuts, to include:
    1. Click 'T' for new task, or 'E' for new event (on calendar)
    2. Click 'X' for 2-day view (in Calendar) - similar to Google; makes a huge difference!

    Ideally also easily ability to turn a calender event into a task (and vica versa)

  4. Lists: Restore the ability to print FILTERED lists

    I didn't scroll through all 14 pages of the search results, so this may be a duplicate, but...At one point I remember having the ability to print filtered lists. It would be most appreciated if that ability could be restored. In fact, I can't even view a filtered list unless I go to All Tasks.

    I love your willingness to constantly improve this platform, but it always seems to come with sacrifices. I understand the necessity to avoid "code bloat", but golly....printing filtered lists? Sounds like a no-brainer.

  6. Tasks: Auto-Reset for Recurring Tasks

    Problem:

    When a recurring task is marked as completed, it stays that way—even after the next due date. Subtasks also remain completed unless manually reset.

    Proposed Solution:
    Introduce an option to automatically reset the task and all its subtasks (or any task independently) when the next recurrence is triggered. This ensures the task appears as “open” again on its due date, ready to be worked on without manual cleanup.

  7. UI: Background options on Mobile

    The variety of backgrounds is available on Mac but not on the iPhone I’d love to see this same feature on the iPhone too instead of a blank white screen, thank you so much!

  8. Product: Allow the use of external keyboards (Android)

    I have an external keyboard to use with my phone. It really helps with long text messages and taking notes. However, it does not work with Any.do. Any.do support told me that the app does not currently support external keyboards. Please add this functionality.
