How Can We Improve Any.Do for personal users?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.

  1. Spark email

    Integrate Any.do with Spark Email.
    Since Inbox by Gmail went away, I was looking for a way to replace its best features. Any.do is amazing for keeping tasks. Spark Email replicates many of Inbox's features. If the two could just work together it would produce an Inbox replacement app on steroids.

  2. Calendar: Add option for time blocking

    Hi, there is a productivity technique called time blocking. Basically, blocking out time on the calendar for activities. I’d like to see the ability to add a task (not just a calendar item) that spans a specific time range, i.e. 15 min, etc rather that just AT a particular time. Moonshot would be for AnyDo to use AI to determine over time how long these types of time blocks are actually taking.

  3. Product: Allow to turn off auto-set reminders

    please give the option for me, the user, to decide whether or not i want the time/alarm reminder as default every time i create a task. i prefer the old version where i set my own alarm only when i want to. the current version is annoying because for every task i create the alarm is turned on as default, i’d have to click on it again to turn off the alarm, every time!

  5. Make subtasks reorganizable

    When entering subtasks, you type them in the order you think of them. Would like to reorganize so subtasks can be organized in the chronological order you'd like to complete them in.

    We already have support for changing the order of subtasks. You can drag and drop them the same way you would for tasks! :)

  6. Customization: Change font style/ size from app

    I'd love to use any do on iPhone but I find the menu text and completed items to be too small and have poor contrast. There is lots of empty space in the UI to support having a larger font.

  7. Product: Back button shouldn't close the app

    I habitually hit the back button because on most other apps, it goes up a folder/back a step. With Any.do, this just closes the app which feels counter-intuitive.

    The display of time/ date should be the same as in your device’s settings. If it’s not, please contact our Support Team by opening a bug through the app.

  9. Integration: S-pen

    This allows us to write anywhere in the text input box rather than be restricted to the keyboard writing area. I really like this feature and use it whenever possible. I just signed up and really hope you can add this- I really like the organization so far. Thanks!

    Have a weekly layout and you can add a task per day of your week, and when you have not finished a task for the week it should carry over on to the next day

  11. Product: Designated features for iOS

    • Attach a note from native Notes app
    • Add an activities option in iOS for adding tasks quickly rather than having to email... just choose SEND TO ANY.DO
    • Multi-Line NOTES in iOS App
    • Ability to convert missed call or any call into a any.do task on iOs.
    • Every app has ios share button linked to the browser. Please implement so that links can be added directly to the app.
    • Make the drag-down "new task" feature less sensitive

    • Less intrusive alerts on android. Adopt Lollipop notification system
    • Add setting to allow notifications within Any.do to appear as Android notifications in phone status bar
    • Restore compatibility to native SHARE functionality on android
    • Add refresh button for android widget.

  14. Tasks: Items without time or date dependency

    Not all tasks are time dependent. Unfortunately when adding a task to any other day than today the default is a time (hour) dependent task. This should be corrected so that I decide whether to define a certain time or date.
