Tasks: Items without time or date dependency
Not all tasks are time dependent. Unfortunately when adding a task to any other day than today the default is a time (hour) dependent task. This should be corrected so that I decide whether to define a certain time or date.

Hey,
All tasks under someday don’t have a due date."We know this, and you'd know we know this if you read the comments.
We want 'Someday' to be the default option instead of 'Today'.

You're missing the point. If I add a task to Someday, I have to go back into it to place it in a specific topic list. If I add it to a specific topic list, I have to go back and drag it out of the Today list to Someday. Why can't I add a task to a specific topic list and choose where it goes in my timeline without the extra steps? Any.do is the only credible task manager that requires a user to create a task then go back in and 'fix' it.

Just adding another voice saying to Any.Do this is the change I would most like to see.

Why hasn't this been fixed yet?! I'm doing a search on the web to find out how to change the default list to NO DATE and came upon this post. Apparently Any.Do doesn't care that some of us need to change our default or it's not in their philosophy. I LOVE this app except for this feature. If they added the ability to set our own default, I'd get premium, but as is, no deal. It's a shame as I have to find another task app.

I totally agree. Why is this not fixed yet??

Two years on and I'd still rather see this stupid little addition over anything the company is developing right now.

I also wish to change the default folder to 'someday'. It's kinda crazy these requests are from 2015 and I'm still struggling with this in 2017.

Shopping lists, home improvement ideas, lists of crap the kids need for school, etc. It is the only thing stopping me from upgrading to premium because the app is great (especially Alexa integration)

This. Would prefer to plan for the time when the day of the task comes during the anydo moment

I agree, my shopping list typically builds up over the week as I remember things I need or run out of things. I don't want to see these on my lists until its time for the big shop.

Is anything done on this end? Just installed any.do and it definitely is annoying

The app is beautiful and almost perfect but every time I add a new task it defaults to today - which then it shows on cal for today. This is driving me nuts. I would like option to set the default date on new tasks to No date (others may prefer today so I am just asking for adding the option to set it) and also to add option to set a default view for all lists whether it's by date, list name, etc. Thanks in advance!!

I have been thinking that too.
I don't want things to remember to go to calendar. -

Exactly what I was going to suggest!
There are many kinds of lists that aren't todo lists:
- Lists of items
- Lists of ideas
- Lists of names
- Lists of places to visit
- Lists of listsThese lists should not show up in Any.do moments or calendar and should default to "list view". A simple fix could be that any list set to list view will not show up in any sort of schedule.

I like to keep a grocery list as well as a list of movies I want to watch. I really don't want to clutter my phone with apps so I want all my lists in the same place. However, I have to sort my grocery list by "time" so that I can add my list under the "someday" section just so my groceries don't get mixed up on my actual tasks with due dates. An app like Winderlist has this ability but I like the UI of any do better.

It would be great to be able to separate lists of tasks vs a list of things to remember. For example, I don't want my grocery or packing list items to show up in my to do list for the day, but I'd like to still save them for reference in Any.do.

I agree! I want a list that includes shopping, camping, movies I want to see, books I want to read etc, but I don't want to see them as daily tasks or have due dates. I
