    I'd be very useful/time-saving for me if a quality was added to each item on the grocery list that represented the # of each item that I need to buy.

    Often, it's my wife who writes me a list.

    And on paper it's like:

    Eggs (4)
    Oranges (8)
    Ginger (1)
    etc.

    The default would always be (1) but it could be changed. I think you get what I mean.

    Currently, I just type in "Oranges 8", but that's slower and nowhere near as sexy as picking "Oranges", then selecting "8".
