Desktop Mac OS app not usable in narrow breakpoint
I need the desktop app to be usable when it's in a narrow window size. Currently in a narrow breakpoint, the right panels are simply inaccessible/unusable.

Couldn't agree more. The mac app is too wide and not optimal for 'window on the side'. There is too much blank space.
Would also be good to think of a menu drop down (like Fantastical) that provides a quick glance to 'My Day'.
