Overdue tasks should be displayed in separate section, above "today" tasks. If one doesn't want to see a task on the top as overdue (and most urgent) task, then edit the task and set its time to today, tomorrow or next week.
It's not good to automatically mix overdue tasks (planned to yesterday or past week) with tasks that are actually planned for today.
Its a serious problem in the conception of how the app manage undone tasks. This should be fixed.

It would be very productive, if we could slice a big task in many little sub-tasks.
It is currently possible to make subtasks, but they are not visible in the main screen, so it is impossible to overview the progress of subtasks. (opening every tasks one-by-one is not very effective)
    My suggestion is:
    - Make it possible to create sequenced subtasks (1., 2., 3., etc)
    - In the main screen show the current subtask only

    For example:
    1) I make a task: make monthly report to my boss
    2) I open this task and make sequenced subtasks inside it:
    - 1: look up monthly statistics
    - 2: make a list from the most important events in the month
    - 3: ask financial datas from co-workers
    - 4: create the report from the collected informations
    - 5: print the report and present to boss

If I make this now, I see the main screen a task to "make report to my boss". Whenever I complete a subtask, I must open the "big task" and tick it. But in the main screen, I can't see what is my current subtask and can't see how many subtask left to complete the "big task".

So I think the main screen should display the 1st subtask only: "look up monthly statics". When I finish this thask, I tick it, and it should change immediately to the 2nd subtask: "make list from most important events in the month"

This line should also display that "1/5 subtask is ready", and when I finish 1st subtask, it changes to '"2/5 subtask is ready".

The logic behind this idea is the user can instantly sees in the main screen that how "big" each tasks are, and the app displays only the current things to do.

This feature encourage the users to split their big tasks into smaller pieces, because it is way easier and motivating to start and complete little jobs than do one big job.

I suggest you to make an option to create "classic" subtasks, or "sequenced" subtasks. Classic subtasks could work the same as now, and sequenced subtask can work like I described above.

    Thank you!
