When entering a new task in the Desktop App if you type something like a date, it gets highlighted as if you meant to set the date of the task. To keep it from setting the date, you then have to click the blue items outside the text box. In the Android App you can turn this feature off: Settings/Time Detection/Off. Please add this setting to the Desktop App.

It is very annoying for those who don't want Time Detection (which may or may not be the same as Smart Type) to interrupt our simply adding a Task with a number in it or one of the other blue highlights that show up so often.

It seems like this be done very easily since that setting is already in the the Android version. Please.

(For anyone monitoring this submission, it could like it is the same as the one I posted two years ago, but that one used technical terms that I believe most people don't understand, so I am reposting this in plain English so Any.do can see how bothersome this feature can be to those of us who don't use it. Just make it a setting like the Android App so that users can use it or not.)

If you have long lists manually sorted, very problematic to have tasks popping up the top or bottom of the list just because you set a reminder for a new day. Please keep manually sorted lists in the order the user sets.
