How Can We Improve Any.Do for personal users?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. PLEASE let me turn off keyboard shortcuts.

    99% of the time they add no value or time savings to my daily interaction with my task list, yet I'm constantly fighting them if I start to type and haven't placed my mouse directly into a text field—sometimes with destructive, non-undoable results.

    Having the option to turn them off and revert to standard desktop OS keyboard shortcuts should be an option in the preferences.

  3. Please filter search by List

    Can we please filter the search by a spefic list? Right now it searches everything and it is very confusing. I don't think this would be a hard thing to implement and be very useful to everyone. Love the app, use it every day!

    Please vote for my suggestion so we can get this going, and support the developer =)

  4. add multiple items

    Allow the addition of multiple items by pasting text with line breaks eg
    Call John
    Call Mary
    Write meeting minutes
    email Supervisor

    pasting this should create multiple tasks or subtasks

  5. Filter by tag on Desktop

    Hello, looks like new feature was added to iOS platform for filtering by tag but this feature is unavailable on the desktop version. The two should be the same!

  7. Have option to stop constant appearance of the "number of tasks completed" flag on desktop version

    The constant appearance of the "number of tasks completed" flag on desktop version when marking a task as done is distracting and adds no value. I do not need to be constantly reminded that Any.do is a valuable service.
    Replace with a once/month flag if it is a must for you. to demonstrate value in this way.

  8. Permanent session for browsers

    Every time I close browser the any.do session is terminated and I need to login again.

  10. Allow users to alter sizes of Task Details box and the Task Lists so that you can see all the text on your To Do list

    On the Windows desktop there are 2 boxes. One has the list and the other has the details of that task. But the sizes of the boxes are set and can't be altered so that you cannot see all the text on your To Do list. This means that I can't see what each task is until I fully click on it. Can we set it up so that the user can manually alter the dimensions of those 2 boxes?

  11. Alarm function would be useful in the "Any.do" program on the computer

    Hi
    I do not see the alarm options in the program. In Windows 10 there are notifications on the side of the screen and a short sound signal. But I need a long, loud alarm. That I heard it as I go to another room. Alarm could be turned on in global settings or in individual tasks.

  12. Have the desktop version automatically open the default folder as in the android app

    On my phone, my the app opens my default folder first, but on my desktop (windows) I can't get that to happen.

    I use anydo for business reminders and I was thinking why don't you introduce an invoice maker that can sync with tasks or partner with a company that makes invoices.

  18. Global shortcut on WINDOWS 10 to quickly add task

    I want to be able to quickly add task whenever it comes to my mind. For this I need a Global shortcut. This feature works on Mac, but I don't know why it does not on Windows.

  19. Stay signed in on desktop

    Every time I open Any.do desktop, I have to sign in again. Is it possible to stay signed in to Any.do desktop?

  20. Stop pushing new versions every time I start the Windows App

    It is very off-putting to se a "New version is available prompt - despite usually clicking the link it still seems to always prompt me the next time.

    This either a bug in its own right or just a very annoying feature.

    There should instead be a 'Check for new version' option in the setting menu
