How Can We Improve Any.Do for personal users?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.

  1. Tasks: Pause reoccurring tasks

    It would be nice to pause reoccurring tasks until a future date. For example, when I'm on vacation pause my tasks to water plants until I return home. This prevents needing to remake the task when I get home but keep my task list relevant.

  3. Automatic Scheduling and Goal settings Like Google Calendar

    Automatic Scheduling and Goal settings Google calendars previously had this feature.
    We could select a skill or goal from a list of activities or Enter own activities and calendar will automatically schedule this GOAL as per our preferences. It even postpones this Task by learning our preferences
    It was very important lot of google calendar users are annoyed when they discontinued this feature

  4. Select lists to appear

    It would be great if I could select the lists that I want to see (for example with a checkbox or switch button).
    So for example, I have 5 lists and I want to see only 2 of them and hide the other tasks.

  7. Custom list hot button

    Have a button at the top of every screen in the app that allows you to go to a list that you specify it links to. Like, I'd set the button to grocery list so I can go to it at any time with one press.

  9. A way to easily duplicate tasks to add to next days on the 7 day page

    The idea is suppose I have a task listed on Monday. I know that through this whole week or maybe even the next couple of days I have to do that same task. If I could select the task, duplicate it (sorta like a ctrl c, ctrl v), and paste it into other days I need to do that same task.

  11. 2 Way Calendar Sync

    I've been a subscriber for a few years and I've been happy with the platform but the lack of 2 way calendar sync is a major impediment. I have tried the Zapier connections but they don't adjust your tasks if you change the calendar entry, can't easily plan the day around existing meetings etc. We work entirely in the Google Workspace and while I can see the meetings I have, I'd love to throw tasks (and timeblocks) between meetings.

    Best case scenario, I can edit tasks in my calendar and have them update in Any.Do.

    The idea of subtasks is great for organising steps, but for big tasks being able to add each subtask to the a day would be very good

  15. Sending customized reminders on whatsapp instead of just task name

    Reminders received on whatsapp are just the title of task, there are no details included such as sub tasks, footnotes etc. Instead of using task title for reminder message, kindly develop a function wherein user can customize a reminder E.g - For a task of shopping the user can customize reminder message on whatsapp as : " Don't forget to buy groceries".

  16. Differentiate between Delete (delete a list) vs Clear tasks (delete crossed off tasks) or Restore Deleted List

    In the options tab after opening a list, change “delete” to “Delete this list” then add a final pop up confirmation to confirm PERMANENT deletion of the list!! to make it obvious it’s going to delete your entire list permanently. I just accidentally deleted a long standing and important list of recurring reminders thinking I was deleting all crossed off tasks (your equivalent of clearing all completed tasks) and I can’t get it back.. perhaps keep deleted lists on a separate “deleted lists folder” which will be removed after a week or 30 days etc similar to how you save…

  18. Simplify stuff , stop keeping things so convoluted, see your recent playstore reviews.

    If this app is an Enterprise app then its okay may be, but mostly enterprises don't need such apps as they already have tons of software to mange their workflow mostly coming from Microsoft & others like Jira etc.
    For personal users, this app is too confusing & there is a learning curve, which I don't want to travel for sure.
    No monthly view calendar for personal premium plan, doesn't justify things. Any.do is depending on 3rd party integrations more than creating its own features.
    You have some advantages like whatsapp integration and better reminders, but you lack the simplicity…
