How Can We Improve Any.Do for personal users?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.

  1. Grocery list: Purchase dates

    it would be nice to have a date tagged to each purchase. helps in tracking the usage of groceries over a period & planning. Like if some item is being bought too frequent OR planning for purchase before it's used up fully...

  2. A way to easily duplicate tasks to add to next days on the 7 day page

    The idea is suppose I have a task listed on Monday. I know that through this whole week or maybe even the next couple of days I have to do that same task. If I could select the task, duplicate it (sorta like a ctrl c, ctrl v), and paste it into other days I need to do that same task.

  4. Differentiate between Delete (delete a list) vs Clear tasks (delete crossed off tasks) or Restore Deleted List

    In the options tab after opening a list, change “delete” to “Delete this list” then add a final pop up confirmation to confirm PERMANENT deletion of the list!! to make it obvious it’s going to delete your entire list permanently. I just accidentally deleted a long standing and important list of recurring reminders thinking I was deleting all crossed off tasks (your equivalent of clearing all completed tasks) and I can’t get it back.. perhaps keep deleted lists on a separate “deleted lists folder” which will be removed after a week or 30 days etc similar to how you save…

  5. add multiple tags to a task using hashtag while typing

    I like the option to add tags using hashtag while entering (typing) the task. However, if I want to enter more than one tag, the system will save only the last tag entered. It would be great if all the entered tags could be saved.

  8. Add Start date option to tasks

    Please add the option to add a start date to tasks so that they don't show up in the list or the Plan My Day, etc until the start date. For example, sometimes I create a task that I won't be able to even start until a few months later but I don't want to forget about it. This has already been a feature in Microsoft Outlook for a long time and works well. Thank you.

  9. The Tags / coloring function should have more HIGHLIGHT, the current solution is very poor. See details on the attached pictures.

    One of the reasons I upgraded to Any.Do Premium was the Tags / coloring function.

    Currently I consider this function a promise but not a solution at all. The function in the web version shows a little bit something but still not a help. This little tiny tine colored line is almost equal with nothing. On top of this the same function on the Android App is equal with NOTHING, this tiny dot is like a flyspeck. This function should have more highlighting.

    The [Tags] setup in the web version shows a PERFECT solution, this is what I call COLORING!…

  11. 'my day' and 'next 7 days' should be in sync + notes on calendar

    1. i just realised that the 'today' task in 'next 7 days' doesnt appeared the 'my day' task, it would be great if the team make it in sync

    2. i highly suggest for having notes on calendar, its easy to view what's happening during that day for a monthly planner person like me

    3. (can be in premium) It's good to have a habit tracker with data (eg. table data that shows on which day we actually accomplish it)

  12. Subtasks - 2 issues to fix

    1) Subtasks should also be cleared with phone shaking

    2) Automatically save Subtasks instead of waiting for user to press save (and if user toggles with other applications sometimes Subtasks get deleted)

  14. Reminders: Override silent mode

    This app is useless to me if notification sounds do not override a silenced system. I need to turn my ringer and other app notifications off during the workday, but certainly still need this app to make a notification sound to grab my attention to the reminder I set.

    It's unfathomable that this app doesn't do this by default---I'm ready to cancel my premium subscription over such a gross oversight.

    Shopping lists should allow you to import a list of items like with the regular to do lists, or there should be an allowance to have regular lists converted into shopping lists. Cheers

  17. Product: Implement MFA

    Hi, since the comment section from my original post is closed I submit a new topic.

    I asked for MFA implementation with TOTP, mail and Webauthn to fit actual security standard and let the opportunity to users to increase the security of their data.

    What you did is implementing 2FA: second factor authentication since you only support one type of second factor.
    MFA stand for multiple factor authentication, meaning we should be able to choose multiple methods.

    Your implementation was fast and messy, you enabled mail factor for all your users without warning them first and you don't provide any…

  18. Smart Type: Enable/disable date in title

    There could be an option for the user to choose in the settings whether they want the date and time to appear in the task title when we write it next to the title so the app can automatically mark it on the calendar. I wouldn't like to have the date and time in the title if it already appears on the side.

  20. Tags: Add more color options

    Like anyone who uses task management, I rely a lot on tags. I have many tags which I have problem differentiating them, since the colors' varation is limited and the shades of one color are very close to each others. Adding more colors can help a lot, or better adding a color palette like several other apps.
