Give personal users option to turn off the "inactive workspace" from the left sidebar.
Personal users don't need this option. Give an option in the setting to turn it off/on, for the safe of sanity. I believe you application is based on this idea of sanity as well, right? This feature sitting always on the left panel right infront of my eyes, and that wasteful option of "unlock", it's annoying AF. (for reference see the attached picture)
