Tasks: Convert tasks to subtasks and vice versa
I use sub tasks to group tasks. Sometimes a sub task becomes a priority. Then I need to reassign it as a main task without affecting the other sub tasks.

I only use anydo due to its Google assistant access otherwise I find its lack of functionality dismal

Still a great idea, and it would address lots of other requests related to subtask use if they could be moved around as projects evolve.

Completely agree. Was just about to post my own thread on this and saw it was already started. This is a must!

Is this suggestion being considered? I do not see a response from Any

Like to be able to drag and drop task(s) into another task and have it convert into a subtask. To be able to sequence these tasks.

Good Idea. It will good if we can drag and drop tasks to each other (At least in Desktop Version)

Yes, if subtasks can become another standalone tasks and vice versa, it would be nice. Priority of the tasks change and the app would be nice to offer the flexibility.

I just started using subtasks, and immediately missed the feature of drag & drop tasks as subtasks

Like. I added a similar request with more details on how to handle mistakes and what if task has subtasks of its own (failure notification)

I posted an improved design for this feature.

Yes, it would be nice to create a list of sub-tasks, then when each sub-task becomes a priority, you could change it to real task. It would also be nice to provide a link between the two. I would use this for example to create a task (like a project) with many sub-tasks, then I could open that task (project) and designate sub-tasks to show up in my daily list of tasks.

Wanted to post that. That would be great!

When dealing with a big project, there may be subtasks and within that subtasks, there may be multiple tasks.
Allowing subtasks under subtasks will allow you to track the progression of that part of the project. -

Tasks: Drag & drop task onto another task should create a subtask

This would be great. Also the possibitity to group say 7 tasks of type "call somebody" to single task "call" with subtasks of single respondends would be awesome! ;-)

This is useful if I want to add something to my shopping list via Alexa. This gets created as a new task, but I want the ability afterwards to move it into a subcategory without having to manually rewrite the task as a subtask.

Yes please! That would be super useful.

I find I start out listing many individual tasks, and at some point later, this list has become too long. It would be nice to take these tasks, which are somewhat related, and force them all to become subtasks of a new parent task.
