Tasks: Add task to multiple lists
It would be cool to be able to add a task to multiple categories for more flexible planning.

I can do this in all of my work task management systems. It is much needed here.

Many times I have tasks that need to be a part of two lists. It would be ideal if I could assign a task to multiple lists. Then, if i show it complete for one list it would become complete for all. For instance, I may have a task in a list for a particular project at work so I add it to a list that is named for that Project. Then in a meeting we determine that it is high priority and needs to be completed by the end of the week. I could then also assign the task to a High Priority list that I could highlight it as priority without removing it from the original Project list. Today, I have to add a task with the same name to both. And when I complete the task I have to check complete in both lists. This is difficult and clumsy to manage when multiple tasks are being managed like this. I prior ToDo app that I used allowed the ability to assign a single app to multiple lists and it turned out one of the best features of the app for me.

I agree! For example: task is "insulate and sheetrock garage". For that task I need to buy some supplies. "Get staples" is a subtask of that main task, but I also want it to belong to my "shopping" list so I can be reminded of it when I am running around town doing errands and consulting my "shopping" list.

An additional funcitonality that would work is if when creating the task, one can tick off the categories it must be posted to as well. And then also be able to make 1 category (or 2 or more) the main categories.

Agree. Add tags to say which other tasks they are allocated to as well, with the option of switching this on or off, or individually deleteing the tag if you don't want to see all the other tasks it's been assigned to. Something like that.

Agree. There are definitely tasks I have that fall into more than one List. It's the same task - not a new one.
Example - I have tasks that are on a custom list that I also want to include on my Alexa list. -

Wonderful idea, then I would not waste valuable time trying to post to best category, and could find more easily without going to All task. Thanks.

YES! This is exactly why I am here. I have the same need and I am certain that others do also.
Being able to enter an item into one category and then have the ability to "link/send a copy" to another category would be most helpful. It is a challenge to remember to add something to multiple list which causes some items to drop-off from being accomplished. And of course when that item &/or it's duplicated item is completed, it is completed in all lists. -

Yes...this would allow one a more efficient way to work tasks and is realistic in that many times a single task is relevant to more then one category.

I suggest a 'todo' can belong to more then one category ie: “Call Bob” could/should be under both ‘calls' and under 'abc client’

Now the task can be assigned only to one task list. Suggest you to make task shareable between lists. so the task can belong to for example health list and family

When arranging tasks, some tasks belong in multiple categories. At the current time, you have to either exclude a task relative to a particular category, or add it to both or all categories. If you add it to both categories you can't manage the duplicate task as a single task.,

Great idea. When arranging tasks some tasks belong in multiple categories. Crossing the task off would complete it for all categories.

Ditto!

Need to share some tasks between lists and display such shared tasks in different lists simultaneously.
Dragging tasks between lists shoud entail a quastion "Move or copy?". otherwise to copy task - hold control.
