Reminders: Customize suggestions
I love when I make a new task, the app suggest me different times for a possible reminder. The problem is this function is kind of useless, because the suggested times are not useful for me. At least there is a little chance that the suggested reminder times are fitting in my agenda.
Some examples:
- If I'm working in the office, and at 13:00 I want to make a quick reminder that i have to do one more thing later today. The app suggests 4 or 6 p.m. for reminder, but it is too late for me, because I leave my office around 4 p.m.
Solution: there should be a series of settings in the app, where I can set up what days of the week I working, what is my working period (8:00-16:00), what time I usually wake up in the morning, what time I usually go to bed, etc. This way, the app could offer more useful suggestions for reminder times. For example: remind later in work, remind after work, remind before work, etc.

Everyone has time constraints. My experience indicates this would be an important issue for the vast majority of people. If you have the budget go for it. Think of how your day goes, when are you available and when are you not.
Max hours when or not is 24. Set up a table for the minimum time slot. Re: 15 minutes or 30 minutes or hour. Each slot is either yes or no. Easy peasy y or n
Value? On /off?
Combine with other tables of slots b4 work, at work, morning /evening, afternoon, etc. -

Instead of choosing from a limited set of preset alarm times, it should be possible to customise this - as in Google Calendar. X amount of hours/days in advance.

Yes i need this option to specify exact time for reminder as well.

I usually just have a list of tasks that i generally have to finish in a day. But i don't like how it looks on my calendar when i have to set them to the default time at 9am.
It would be nice to have a "date only-no time" setting for some tasks (turning off the notification bell doesn't remove the time) -

When you are trying to plan yor day, there are like 3 time default options ( for example:- 12, 3 and 7). Without considering if you already have something scheduled for that time-block:
a.- Task situation: If i set the first task of the list at 12, it could be a nice functionality that in the second one "time default options" instead of (12, 3 and 7) could be substituted for (1,3 and 7).
b.- Event situation: If already have an event for that time block, it shouldn´t suggest that time to set a reminder during moment. -

While rescheduling a task to different day, the app sets the notification time by default. It has to be switched off manually every time we want to move a task to different day.
There should be an option for default behavior or at least it should be linked to current setup of a task, so:
-> if current task doesn't have a reminder set, then switching to other day shouldn't create no notification neither
-> if current task has already notification, then current notification time proposals could be proposed by defaultOr - the default behaviour should be possible to set in options.

This would be very useful as I never use reminders and franky this is the ONE feature that makes me look for alternatives to any.do, because it is annoying to change it EVERY time ...

Every single time I create a task, I have to toggle the alarm off. All my tasks are due on a day, not a specific time.
I've never seen a to do list that forces reminders for the current time. It makes no sense.

It would be great (and other apps already do this) to have the option to edit the time of the reminders. For example "evening" is automatically set at 18:00 but I would like to change the standard to 21:00.
Of course I can manually do this, but would be great if every time I click "evening" it's already set to my favorite hour

I would like that by default the reminder option will be off, and when i need i change it to on. Today it is the other way around. It cam be a user setting to choose if the default is on or off

I've seen the same request under different posts. Hopefully support will notice.

I just recently reached out to support about this as well. Would love to get the option soon.

Currently when we set reminder it has fixed set of options like Today , tomorrow , next week etc for the Day and Morning, Afternoon etc for the Time.
It would be great if user can add custom option for day and time. At least time. This is really important because for every user schedule is different. When they do certain reminder-worthy task is different.

When adding a new task, and setting a reminder, it's asking to choose between 09:00, 15:00, 18:00 or custom.
For me, as an example, morning tasks should be at 10:00. So whenever I'm setting a reminder for tomorrow morning, I need to manually custom made it to 10 o'clock.
My suggestion is to let the user set in the preferences the reminder's default hours. So that he won't have to manually custom it for each task.
Thanks a lot.

Every time I create new event the reminder is set by default to 30 mins. I would welcome the option to change that to my liking by default. F.e. 2 hrs before and 1 day before.

In settings you have the options to set the default duration of new events to 15, 30 and 60 minutes,
I'd like a 120mins standard duration time
I'd also advocate there is enough people needing longer options too
Thanks

I should be able to choose my own start time for tasks (at least in the paid version) as this would speed up task entry if I knew for example, that every task I enter will automatically be scheduled for 1pm (my to do list time). Thanks.

Make the Tomorrow button do something else other than 10:00 am all the time. Maybe I want that reminder first thing when I get up (5:00 am) or get to my first break (8:30am)

I'd love to use the quick choices available for setting reminders, like "tomorrow", "this evening", etc. for new tasks and snoozing. However, almost all of the preset reminder times don't work for me, which means I have to use the custom reminder time option instead. E.g., for me, a reminder for "tomorrow" would almost always have to be at 8am, not 10am. Unfortunately, I haven't found a way to change the default reminder times in the preferences.
This is a real productivity sink for me, because it means I have to use the custom reminder time option for almost every reminder, which takes much longer to set.
On a side note: I don't really understand why all of the similar requests that have come up in the past have been marked as "passed", meaning we can no longer vote for them. From what I've seen, I'm by far not the only one missing this feature dearly. :)

The times of quick reminders like "Later Today", "This Evening" are currently not customizable.
It would be great if we had a setting to change the default time for these. I suggest an option in the settings tab to customize these.
Example: This is especially useful for people who always need a timer for 9pm in the evening, and not 7pm like it is by default.
